Comments: KISN is back! WAit, Is it?
I can't find you good guys streaming online or on my radio dial up here in NE Portland. Luke Strahota, the curator of Nuggets Night told me that the signal may be a little weak up here in the north. Is there something that i'm missing?
I was crushed when KISN left the airwaves and would love to get reacquainted. Great to hear it's back and i'm looking forward to attending the Nuggets Night benefit show your ya'll !!
P.S. Will Steve Lloyd be working with you?
Admin reply: Yes Steve Lloid is on from 7 to Midnight every Saturday.

Comments: Been listening to KISN since 1959, so was happy to see it return. Cruised by the KISN Corner many times and saw Tiger Tom Murphy at work in the window. He even acknowledged us a couple times. Still recall "East of Midnight" and Pat Pattee telling us about Bobby 'Blues Boy' Bland and the 'whirly little weather birdie'. Went on a KISN Cruise to the Bahamas in 1998 and had a great time. Went with 2 of the DJs, Deb Jaynes and Jim Donovan of the Donovan & Deb Morning Show. They were very friendly, and we had a great "Oldies Cruise".
KISN has been part of my life for a very long time, and it's really super to still have it.
Now looking forward to more years of cool KISN Radio. :o :o

Comments: I've been getting so sick of the radio stations in Portland. They play the same songs over and over depending their format. I finally sat in my car one night and scanned the dial trying to find a new station. I came across KISN. I haven't stopped listening since. I hear so many songs I either never heard before or haven't heard for years. Tonight I heard McArthur Park. I was in heaven!! I want to thank you for your format, for your variety and for being basically commercial-free (a HUGE thank you to your family of sponsors!!). I remember waking up one morning around 1970 and turning on KRLA and hearing Tom Murphy! Who knew he was from the Northwest! Good to hear him again too. I wish you guys all the luck keeping the music playing!! If you have any sort of donation program to keep your station on the air, let me know. Rock on!!

Comments: The airwaves have been redeemed! Can't thank you enough for restoring my faith in radio. I discovered radio as a wee lad, about four years of age, when my pudgy fingers could manipulate the radio dial, after of course the radio warmed up. Am I dating myself? Of course. Whilst driving around Portland one night, with the radio on, I tired of the annoying screech of "John" from some car outfit, and hit scan. The radio landed on 95.1 and has stayed there. And will stay there. Except when going through the tunnel, and the signal sounds like I've landed in Tijuana and not Beaverton. Alas, you are the best, I will become a supporter, and kudos too to the fantastic DJs who know how to put together incredible playlists. The old commercials are also a bit hit. Must give credit too to Todd Tolces, and the joy he brought me, lo those many years ago. ROCK ON, and keep on Rockin' On!!!!!

Comments: C'mon. It was a great article, BUT you neglected to include in your list of greats three of the top guys in Steve Lloid, Scott Tom, and you probably heard of me John Williams. There are a few others, but the last that comes to mind is Francine Raften.
C'mon guys give props to those that continued pushing through until the end...
Comments: I was reading your archival list of KISN DJ's and I work with Harley Youngblood, yes he's still broadcasting, but not as Bob Stevens the Morning Mayor. He got a kick reading your archives. It was nice to read about the people and history of Oregon Radio Harley has been relating to me over the years.
