For the first time is 39 years, the KISN call letters will be heard on the airwaves of Portland. On December 31st, 2014, KISN Engineers began setting up the transmission equipment for the low power FM station that will bear the KISN calls at 95.1 FM. It will not be the 5000 watt powerhose that the original KISN enjoyed, but it will get a signal to SE Portland and possibly into downtown from it's perch on top of Mount Scott. Those go along with the addition of the word YOUR to the "Real Oldies Radio" slogan. The new KISN radio will belong to YOU, the listeners, or rather Kisners. The station and the stream will be non-commercial, non-profit, listener supported, community radio. We feel that the people of Portland have missed KISN so much that they'll be willing to chip in to keep it on the air. We don't think it will take much but we know we can't do it without your help.
